The event starts and finishes at the Old Hall Country Club, Chester.

Stage1 starts at 10am on Saturday 6th September 2008. Registration is from 8am followed by Breakfast. There will be a briefing of the route at 9am with guide maps, drinks and energy bars available. There is ample parking at the club and changing facilities.

Overnight and stage 2 kit will be labelled and collected for forwarded transfer to the overnight hotel. There will be mechanical help for any last minute problems or checks.

En route, there will two feeding stations and cycle friendly cafes are marked on the maps provided.

A support vehicle will drive the route twice, providing mechanical and medical support. A sweep bus will follow behind should there be any retirements.

Stage 1 finishes in the beautiful town of Betws-y-coed, in the heart of Snowdonia. Accommodation is provided, where you will be able to relax. Alternatively there is plenty to do and see in the town.

There is secure facilities for the bikes.

Personal gear will be delivered by the support vehicle.

The evening is rounded off by an informal mid-event dinner, with a briefing of Stage 2, maps and an update from Stage 1.

Stage 2 starts at 8am (overnight kit collected by 7.30am) and initially retraces the route back to Blaenau Ffestiniog before looping further South towards Bala. The stage finishes back at The Old Hall Leisure Club where changing and shower facilities are available. The awards ceremony, with Barbeque and buffet will be held poolside by the Orchard from 6pm.
